All India Management Association

All India Management Association (AIMA) is the pinnacle of the Indian management profession. It is looked up to as the ‘voice’ of managers and leaders in India. It collaborates with students, academia, the Government and the industry in a non-lobbying and not-for-profit manner. It promotes the issues of the management profession in the country.

AIMA is affiliated with 67 local management associations, has about 6000 institutional or corporate members, and its membership base has expanded to more than 38000 members. AIMA has its representatives on many policy-making bodies of the Indian Government and national associations.

In 1957, AIMA was established. Since then, it has made numerous contributions for enhancing the management capabilities of India. Right from the inception, it has provided services in management development programs, executive education, publications, research, training, skill development, distance education and testing, among other areas. It has participated in special forums for female managers and leaders, Vice Chancellors and Young Leaders.

In the past 60 years, it has witnessed evolution while adjusting to the growing requirements of the management community. Its flagship program is ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Management.’ In addition to this, it conducts industry-tuned and topical initiatives and programs to enable students and managers to upgrade with changing times, while rendering state-of-the-art business solutions to their companies and organisations.

AIMA is not only a pioneer of distance education but also an early beginner in the digital space. It is among the first few organisations that implemented Internet-based Remote Proctored tests on a nationwide basis and that moved its service offerings online. AIMA attained digital expertise within a short time. Presently, it offers business solutions and management programs in three modes: physical, virtual and hybrid.

AIMA has several foreign collaborations with professional institutes and bodies. Through these links, it shares optimum management practices and techniques with the managers in India.

AIMA is a long-time and crucial member of the Asian Association of Management Associations (AAMO), which is a promoter of professional management in Asia-Pacific. Moreover, AIMA is closely related to many leading institutes and universities at the international level, such as The World Bank, Horasis, St Gallen Symposium, UC Santa Cruz and UC Berkeley, among others.
