Introduction

Bharati Vidyapeeth has established its School of Distance Education to offer educational opportunities to deprived students, such as the poor, tribal and rural population and the female population. It has launched 10 study centres, including those at Sangli, Karad, Solapur, Kolhapur, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai and Pune.

Admission Criteria

To apply for the distance BBA course, the applicant must have passed the 10 + 2 examination or its equivalent from a recognised board.

To apply for the distance BCA course, the applicant must have passed the 10 + 2 examination or its equivalent from a recognised board.

To apply for the distance MBA course, the applicant must have passed the 10 + 2 + 3 examination in any discipline from a recognised university. Such an applicant must have a minimum of 50% marks in the graduation year if the applicant is from the Open category while 45% marks if the applicant is from the SC or ST category.

To apply for the distance MCA course, the applicant must have passed the B.Tech. (IT), B.E. (IT), B.Tech.(CSE), B.E. (CSE), B.Sc.(IT), B.Sc. (Computer Science) or B.C.A. examination or an equivalent degree. Alternatively, the applicant must have passed any graduation degree B.Voc., B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.Tech. or B.E. or any equivalent degree preferably with Mathematics at the 10 + 2 level or MCA – Master of 4 graduation level. Such an applicant must have scored a minimum of 50% Computer Application marks (45% in the case of the Reserved category applicants) in the qualifying examination. If the applicant does not have a Mathematics background, the respective university or institute will frame compulsory bridge courses and additional bridge courses pertinent to computer subjects as per the rules of the concerned university.

Admission

To apply for these distance courses, the admission procedure is the following:

    1. Open the online application form on the webpage (distance.bharatividyapeeth.edu) and fill out this form.
    2. Select any Learner Support Centre out of the following: Solapur, Sangli, Karad, Kolhapur, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi or Pune.
    3. The university gives provisional admission.
    4. Complete the eligibility requirement by submitting the following original documents.
    5. The university returns these documents after verification.
Placements
