In 1963, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry set up the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) as an autonomous body. The aim was to enhance the skill building for the external Indian trade sector. In 2002, IIFT got the ‘Deemed to be University’ status. This university has a Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) that provides opportunities to learn while doing a job at a reasonable expense and develop skills to promote their career.

To apply to the online MBA course, the applicant must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in the Bachelor’s degree. Such an applicant must furnish the ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer at the time of admission if this applicant is a sponsored candidate. The applicant must have at least one year of professional experience.

3. Register yourself on the IIFT website and pay the registration fee.

IIFT CDOE offers sufficient exposure to students about trade promoting infrastructure, which includes export promotion agencies, banks, factoring agencies and regulatory agencies. During projects and case studies, students establish contacts with people in agencies who facilitate exports, freight forwarders, shippers, importers and exporters. During such networking, students can explore new placement opportunities.
