Indian Institutes of Management Kozikode

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has a campus area of 112.5 acres. This campus is built on two hillocks that are within the Kunnamangalam area in Calicut, an ancient city in Kerala. The premises have a top-class infrastructure with air-conditioned classrooms, LAN and WAN connectivity and guest care areas surrounded by an oxy-rich and picturesque environment. An administrative staff of 96 members handles the entire operations. This staff has gained repute to have elevated IIM Kozhikode to an efficient institution, which strikes the apt balance between ensuring that all stakeholders are satisfied and keeping the balance sheet green.

In 1997, this IIM had a student count of 42, which multiplied to 356 in the current batch. These statistics prove that Kozhikode is the most-rapidly-increasing B-school in India. IIMK is the pioneer of the Interactive Learning program. In 2001-02, this course started and had 300 class contact hours. Presently, the Executive Management Education program has approx. 738 class contact hours, which makes it the most-rigorous course in India.

In January 2003, the institute started functioning in a new campus. This change was accompanied by an increase in the count of programs. The institute has plans to construct an advanced 200-bed management development building and a 64-room executive hostel.

In the previous five years, IIMK has been the host of 15 conferences, thereby implementing its motto, which is ‘Globalizing Indian thought.’ This institute has commenced working on Consulting Assignments. By 2007, the revenue of such assignments had surpassed 10 million INR.
