In 2001, the Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) began operations. It continuously made progress at a rapid pace and always offered quality education to students. Today, it is widely recognised as one of the highly-sought distance learning institute in our country that functions at a large scale. It has evolved into one of the biggest autonomous distance learning Indian education institute.

SCDL has the adequate number of full-time faculty members and more than 350 adjunct faculty members. These do academic counselling, develop the curriculum and assignments and provide feedback to students about their academic levels. These faculty members are part of the Academics department, and they generate a curriculum that is almost identical to a full-time, on-campus management course.

In 2018, SCDL acquired the ISO 9001:2015 certification. This certificate is for SCDL’s successful implementation of the ‘Quality Management System.’ Presence of this certificate proves that this institute is deeply committed to ensuring excellent-quality education through the open and distance learning mode, which leads to skill development and professional growth.
