Eligible HEIs Can Apply For Recognition of Courses to UGC

Eligible Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) that are conducting programs under the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode and/or Online mode for the academic year 2024-25 can send their applications for recognitions of these programs to the UGC. The next academic session will begin in September 2024. These fresh online applications are as per Regulation 3(A) and Regulation 3(B)(b) of UGC Regulations 2020 and its amendments to recognise these programs.

The HEIs have been given the following time frame to submit the applications on the online portal: 10^th May 2024 to 31^st May 2024. The URL for submitting these applications is https://deb.ugc.ac.in. After submitting these applications, the HEIs should dispatch the duly certified hard copy of the application along with the annexure and original affidavit to the following address.

This hard copy and the annexure and original affidavit must reach this address by 15^th June 2024.

The HEIs can get information about the prescribed application fee and relevant announcements or updates about these application on the above mentioned URL.

After getting all online applications, the UGC will scrutinize as per the standards mentioned in the UGC Regulations 2020 and its amendments. So, mere submission of the application cannot be considered as grant of approval for the program.
